Qui est Demarle
A French "Success Story"!

DEMARLE, INVENTOR OF THE FLEXIPAN®

At the outset, a remarkable invention...

Everything started in the 1960s when Guy Demarle invented the first  non-stick utensils that revolutionised the work of the people working in the food trade, and then for over ten years, the general public.
In 1989, the revolutionary FLEXIPAN®, concept was launched – a blend of woven glass coated with food grade silicone, which Guy Demarle used to make a wide range of novel moulds.

The FLEXIPAN® makes it possible to cook sweet and savoury dishes without any mould problems thanks to being perfectly non-stick and flexible.
In other words, in the cooking world it’s as if there was a “before FLEXIPAN®” and an “after FLEXIPAN®”!

Guy Demarle has become the genuine flagbearer of Leisure Cooking on behalf of the general public thanks to the Culinary Workshops

In 1995, Patrice Jacquelin, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, decided to set out to conquer the French mass market through Cooking Workshops during which a Consultant makes quick, easy recipes providing outstanding results and showing the superb qualities of the FLEXIPAN® moulds, as well as all the tools in the range. The range has been extended since then and rounded off by professional utensils enabling everybody to cook like a Chef !

Today, over 6,000 Consultants represent the company in Europe. Guy Demarle also operates on the American market.

Know-how acknowledged
by the food trade

Among the first to believe in the potential of food grade silicone capable of withstanding high temperatures, Guy Demarle used this new material, combined with a fibre glass support, to create equipment designed for the catering industry.
The company first invented silicone cloth which replaced the leather traditionally used to make sweets, then non-stick baguette racks that revolutionised the process of baking bread through their hygiene, the baking quality made possible, and increased productivity. During this period the company invented SILPAT®: this baking sheet used both by pastry cooks for making Danish pastries and by sweetmakers for sugar-based work, quickly became an essential tool in pastry makers and cooking laboratories throughout the world
